J+B was contracted by Ivanhoe Cambridge to complete multiple upgrades to retail units in their Crossiron Mills (Calgary) and South Gate Centre Mall (Edmonton) properties. The projects involved resizing the units to suite new tenets. J+B were responsible for the M.E.P. (Mechanical HVAC, Electrical and Plumbing) and structural design for the demising wall in the retail units. Structural design was also provided for new RTU’s (Roof top HVAC unit) to the roof of the mall. All projects involved designing new all access bathrooms for the retail units. One of the project involved tuning a Concierge Unit in to a food unit. J+B also provided Architectural code review and Lease outline drawings and Area Certificates for Ivanhoe’s commercial leases. J+B provided required “C” (Coordinating professional) and B professional design assurances as required by the communities to issue Building Permits and granting occupancy.

J+B were also involved in providing design services to a number of Food Court Restaurants in Cross Iron Mills new food court. J+B provided HVAC, and plumbing design as well as structural design to support hood vents and restaurant signage to; Koryo Korean Kitchen, Jimmy the Greek and Thai Express restaurants.
