J+B, in partnership with Hatch Mott MacDonald, is engaged in providing design and contract administration services for a variety of mechanical projects at the Plant. The project scope includes the following: digester gas nitrogen purging system, evaluation and upgrades to digester gas waste gas burner station, aeration blower bearing cooling and oil storage system upgrade and plant wide fire audit. Instrumentation, PLC & SCADA control systems are to be added or upgraded to City of Toronto standards including process and control narratives.

The design work included process (gas and sludge) current and future production, peer review of existing studies, electrical and mechanical equipment condition assessments, technology and NFPA 820 related reviews, MOE Certificate of Approval review and evaluation, OESC and TSSA coordination.

Additionally the work involved building and machinery vibration analysis, noise and arc flash studies, compressed air demand assessment, electrical (low and medium voltage) and mechanical equipment condition assessments, technology and NFPA 820 related reviews.
